Diagnostic Performance of Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Knee Differs According to Lesion

Magnetic resonance imaging has a higher sensitivity for the detection of tears of the medial meniscus than for tears of the lat- eral meniscus. Specificity is higher for tears of the lateral meniscus than for tears of the me- dial meniscus and for anterior cruciate liga- ment tears than for posterior cruciate ligament tears.
